Job Description

Join OpenAI as a Remote Developer (Scribe) and play a pivotal role in the development and refinement of our cutting-edge AI models. This unique position combines technical development skills with an keen understanding of language and data, focusing on improving AI performance through hands-on interaction and feedback. You will work closely with our research and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement, develop novel testing methodologies, and contribute directly to the training datasets that power our next generation of AI systems. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and refine prompts and interfaces to evaluate and improve AI model performance.
  • Annotate and curate high-quality datasets for training and validation of AI models.
  • Identify and articulate areas where AI models exhibit weaknesses or biases, proposing solutions.
  • Implement scripts and tools to automate data processing and analysis tasks.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to translate complex concepts into actionable feedback.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with data annotation and data curation
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Deep interest in artificial intelligence and its ethical implications

Preferred Qualifications
