Job Description
PwC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professional Field Auditor to join our dynamic team in Fairfield, California. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive on-site financial and operational audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential control deficiencies.
- Identify and document audit findings, non-compliance issues, and risks, recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare clear, concise, and detailed audit reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with client personnel to gather information, clarify issues, and present findings.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior audit staff when applicable, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and professional standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to client sites as required for field audits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Prior experience within a Big Four accounting firm or a similar consulting environment.
- Experience auditing specific industries such as manufacturing, technology, or retail.
- Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
