Job Description
Join Amazon as a Part-time Order Picker for our weekend morning shift. This role is crucial for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked and prepared for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our fulfillment process and directly impacting customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using handheld scanners.
- Verify the quantity and quality of items picked to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and prepare them for shipment, adhering to Amazon's safety and quality standards.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse.
- Ability to work the specified weekend morning shift (6am-10am).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience with handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
