Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Medical Center Admin to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, AZ. This vital role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical center. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, manage scheduling, maintain patient records, and assist with various office tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits
- Manage patient registration, including collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Process patient payments and assist with basic billing inquiries
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked and clean
- Assist medical staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and office procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
