Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional individuals to join our team as an Entry-Level Host/Hostess. This role is crucial for creating a positive first impression for our guests. You will be responsible for warmly greeting guests, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow of our dining experience. This position requires a professional appearance and the ability to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival.
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations accurately.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide accurate information about the restaurant.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Punctual and reliable, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency for reservation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation software (e.g., OpenTable).
- Multilingual abilities.
