Job Description
Join Comfort Keepers as a Home Health Aide and make a significant difference in the lives of our clients in New Port Richey, FL. We are looking for compassionate and reliable individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality personal care and companionship. As a Home Health Aide, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in their own homes. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and a supportive team environment, plus a $500 bonus after 90 days of successful employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living areas.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities like reading, games, or conversations.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to the care coordinator.
- Assist with errands and appointments, including transportation if required and approved.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and adhere to schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or personal caregiver.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with dementia care or other specialized care needs.
