Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide medication reminders as instructed by the care plan.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, if necessary.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to appointments or engage in light social activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Home Health Aide (HHA) certification program.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic understanding of personal care and hygiene practices.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.
- Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months to one year of experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to adapt to various home environments and client needs.
