Job Description

Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic Game Testers to join our remote team. You will be instrumental in identifying bugs, glitches, and usability issues across various platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify software defects across multiple gaming platforms.
  • Accurately document, track, and retest bugs using internal bug tracking systems, ensuring clear communication of issues.
  • Provide clear, concise, and objective feedback on gameplay, mechanics, user interface, and overall user experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with development and QA teams to ensure issues are thoroughly understood and resolved.
  • Perform regression testing to verify fixes and ensure they do not introduce new problems.
  • Adhere strictly to project schedules and deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends, new gaming technologies, and testing methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Profound passion for video games and a strong understanding of various gaming genres and mechanics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written reports.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and a quick aptitude for learning new software and tools.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Possession of a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a QA or game testing role, whether professional, freelance, or through personal projects.
  • Familiarity with a variety of gaming platforms, including PC, console (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo), and mobile devices.
  • A foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA processes.
  • Experience with common bug tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar systems.
