Job Description
Dell Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FedEx Supply Chain Planner to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing our supply chain operations, specifically focusing on our FedEx logistics partnerships. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the flow of goods to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of our cutting-edge technology products. This position requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust supply chain plans specifically for FedEx logistics, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze FedEx shipment data, performance metrics, and cost structures to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service, to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Manage carrier relationships with FedEx, coordinating schedules, resolving shipping discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
- Utilize advanced planning tools and software to create efficient routes, consolidate shipments, and reduce transit times.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, such as delays, disruptions, or capacity issues with FedEx.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, presenting insights and recommendations to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels within the FedEx supply chain.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management, particularly concerning FedEx and similar carriers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations, with direct experience interacting with major carriers like FedEx.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas) and supply chain planning software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience in the technology manufacturing or distribution industry.
