Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Economic Policy Analyst to join our team, focusing on the intricate relationship between economic policy and the financial markets, particularly Wall Street. This role involves in-depth research, quantitative analysis, and strategic communication of insights on global economic trends, monetary policy, fiscal policy, and their implications for investments and financial strategy. The successful candidate will contribute to thought leadership, provide critical analysis for internal stakeholders, and support our clients in navigating complex economic landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on economic policies, including monetary and fiscal policy, trade policy, and regulatory changes, at both domestic and international levels.
- Assess the potential impact of economic policies on financial markets, asset classes, and specific industries relevant to Wall Street.
- Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast economic indicators and their implications for financial performance.
- Prepare concise and insightful reports, presentations, and commentaries for internal leadership, investment teams, and clients.
- Monitor global economic developments, central bank actions, and geopolitical events, providing timely updates and analyses.
- Collaborate with strategists, traders, and portfolio managers to integrate economic policy insights into investment decisions.
- Participate in client meetings and discussions, explaining complex economic concepts and their relevance to financial strategies.
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by publishing research pieces and participating in industry conferences.
Required Skills
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a strong foundation in economics, finance, or public policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Stata) and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomic principles, monetary policy frameworks, and financial market dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous research and synthesize findings effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related quantitative field.

- Prior experience (internship or full-time) in a financial institution, central bank, or economic research firm.
