Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented DIY Content Editor to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing engaging content focused on Pinterest-inspired DIY projects for our popular lifestyle brands. You’ll bring exciting craft ideas to life, from home decor and organization to seasonal crafts and handmade gifts, ensuring all content is high-quality, actionable, and visually appealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about DIY, with a keen eye for trends and a talent for clear, concise instruction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify trending DIY projects suitable for our target audience.
  • Develop original, step-by-step project tutorials and engaging articles.
  • Write and edit clear, concise, and inspiring content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Curate and optimize visual content (images, videos) to accompany projects.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to promote content on platforms like Pinterest.
  • Stay up-to-date with DIY trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in content creation or editing, especially in the DIY, craft, or lifestyle niche.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in US English.
  • Demonstrable passion for DIY projects and creative crafting.
  • Familiarity with Pinterest as a content discovery and inspiration platform.
  • Ability to translate complex instructions into easy-to-follow steps.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS).
