Job Description

As a Digital Currency Policy Aide – Fintech & Crypto Focus at JPMorgan Chase & Co., you will play a crucial role in supporting our policy team’s engagement with the rapidly evolving digital currency and fintech landscape. This position involves in-depth research, analysis, and monitoring of global regulatory developments, legislative proposals, and industry trends related to cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, stablecoins, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). You will contribute to the formulation of the firm’s policy positions, prepare briefings for senior leadership, and assist in stakeholder engagement with regulators, industry associations, and thought leaders. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on digital currency policies, regulations, and legislative developments across key jurisdictions.
  • Monitor global trends in fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and DLT innovations, identifying potential impacts on the firm.
  • Draft internal briefings, summaries, presentations, and external commentary on policy issues for various stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing policy recommendations and strategic responses to regulatory consultations and proposals.
  • Support engagement with policymakers, industry groups, and internal business units on digital asset-related matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies in the digital asset space.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure a cohesive approach to digital currency strategy and risk management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a research, analytical, or policy-focused role, preferably within financial services, government, or a think tank.
  • Demonstrable understanding of digital currencies, blockchain technology, and the broader fintech ecosystem.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information from diverse sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with regulatory affairs or public policy within the financial technology sector.
  • Familiarity with international financial regulations and digital asset frameworks.
