Job Description
Are you an experienced and reliable driver looking for a flexible opportunity to work on your own schedule? DPD UK is seeking enthusiastic Courier Drivers to join our growing team in Coventry. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload parcels at the depot and delivery points.
- Deliver parcels to residential and business customers on assigned routes in Coventry and surrounding areas.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service during parcel handovers.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and use handheld scanning devices.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
- Manage your own schedule effectively to meet delivery targets.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Access to your own reliable van (or willingness to lease one) suitable for parcel delivery.
- Proof of 'Hire and Reward' insurance for your vehicle (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Coventry and the wider West Midlands area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier.
- Familiarity with DPD's systems and processes (training will be provided).
