Job Description
We are looking for a diligent and reliable Butcher Shop Floor Mopper for end-of-day sanitization at our Stratford-upon-Avon store. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the hygiene and safety standards of our butcher department. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the shop floor after closing hours, adhering to all health and safety regulations. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough mopping and cleaning of the butcher shop floor after closing.
- Sanitize all surfaces, equipment bases, and designated areas in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Empty and clean waste bins, replacing liners as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow all company procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with other ad-hoc cleaning tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Basic understanding of hygiene principles (training provided).
- Ability to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or retail environment is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a food-handling environment.
