Job Description
As an Apple Sustainability Coordinator with a Green Tech focus, you will play a crucial role in advancing Apple’s environmental initiatives. This 100% remote position requires a passionate individual dedicated to integrating sustainable practices across our operations, particularly within our green technology projects. You will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with Apple’s ambitious environmental goals and regulatory requirements. This role demands strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a deep understanding of environmental principles and green technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the implementation of green technology initiatives across various departments.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs), including carbon footprint, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.
- Assist in researching and evaluating new sustainable materials, technologies, and practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering, supply chain, product development) to integrate sustainability into product lifecycles.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications on sustainability progress for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about relevant environmental regulations, industry best practices, and emerging green technologies.
- Organize and facilitate sustainability-focused workshops and training sessions for employees.
- Support the development of environmental impact assessments for new projects and products.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or green technology.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, LEED).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) software and methodologies.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems and energy efficiency technologies.
- Certifications in sustainability (e.g., LEED AP, CESCP).
- Experience working in a large, multinational technology company.
