Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Grocery Stocking Auditor with a primary focus on night replenishment to join our team in Jersey City. This crucial role involves overseeing and verifying the accuracy of product stocking, inventory levels, and merchandising standards during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure that our shelves are consistently stocked, organized, and ready for our customers each morning, adhering to company policies and safety regulations. You will play a vital role in maintaining our store’s operational efficiency and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of grocery aisles and storage areas during night shifts to ensure accurate product placement and inventory counts.
- Verify that replenishment teams have correctly stocked shelves according to planograms and merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor and report on product rotation, ensuring oldest products are moved to the front (FIFO principle).
- Identify and document discrepancies, damages, or expired products, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.
- Ensure all safety and sanitation standards are met during night replenishment operations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings, corrective actions, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with night team leads and management to optimize stocking processes and address operational challenges.
- Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned, supporting overall store operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery, or warehouse environment.
- Experience with inventory auditing or quality control.
- Knowledge of grocery stocking procedures and planograms.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
