Job Description
As an Apple Knowledge Graph Associate with a focus on data, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining Apple’s vast and complex knowledge graph. This 100% remote position involves working with large datasets, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency within our systems. You will contribute to the ongoing improvement of how Apple organizes and retrieves information, directly impacting user experiences across various Apple products and services. Your data-centric approach will be vital in identifying patterns, resolving inconsistencies, and supporting the development of intelligent features.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for knowledge graph enhancement.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation to ensure high data quality and integrity within the knowledge graph.
- Contribute to the modeling and schema design of knowledge graph structures, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define data requirements and implement robust data ingestion pipelines.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to monitor and maintain the accuracy and consistency of knowledge graph data.
- Document data sources, schemas, and processing logic for internal reference and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry best practices in knowledge graphs, data management, and semantic technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with a keen focus on data interpretation and complex problem-solving.
- Proficiency in SQL and practical experience working with large-scale relational or non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools and libraries (e.g., Python with Pandas, R).
- Understanding of fundamental data structures, algorithms, and database design principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear technical and collaborative discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL), or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Apache Jena).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) or information retrieval.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field.
