Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled AI Infrastructure Support Analyst with a strong networking focus to join our dynamic team in Burlington, VT. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our cutting-edge AI infrastructure. You will work on complex networking challenges, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with AI developers and infrastructure engineers to optimize our environment for demanding AI workloads. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the backbone of advanced AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support for network infrastructure components supporting AI systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime for AI workloads.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex networking problems, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Implement network changes and configurations following best practices and security policies.
- Assist in the design and deployment of scalable and resilient network architectures for AI and machine learning platforms.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure.
- Evaluate new networking technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and reliability of AI infrastructure.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or support roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and VPNs.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Experience with Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with network security principles and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud Networking).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their networking implications.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their infrastructure requirements.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
