Job Description
Join STV Group plc as an AI Generated Subtitle Checker and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our digital media content. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and editing AI-generated subtitles for our diverse range of programmes, films, and online content. This position requires an exceptional eye for detail, strong linguistic skills, and a keen understanding of media consumption. You will collaborate closely with our production and post-production teams to maintain high standards of accessibility and viewer experience, contributing directly to our commitment to making content available to everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Rigorously review AI-generated subtitles for accuracy, timing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Correct any errors or inconsistencies to ensure subtitles precisely match spoken dialogue and on-screen text.
- Verify cultural and contextual appropriateness of subtitles for our target audience.
- Ensure compliance with STV's internal style guides and industry accessibility standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to AI developers and post-production teams to improve subtitle generation quality.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
- Utilize specialized subtitling software and tools efficiently.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong comprehension and interpretation abilities.
- Familiarity with digital media platforms and content.
