Job Description
Are you a gaming enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a passion for finding every bug, glitch, and imperfection? Do you dream of getting paid to play the latest games before anyone else? Zynga is looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Entry Level Playtester to join our Quality Assurance team in San Francisco. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to kickstart a career in the dynamic world of game development. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring the quality, functionality, and overall player experience of our exciting new titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify bugs, glitches, and performance issues.
- Provide detailed, accurate, and concise bug reports using internal tracking software.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved without introducing new problems.
- Communicate effectively with game designers, developers, and other QA team members regarding game quality and feedback.
- Offer constructive feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and blockers.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and project schedules.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A genuine passion for video games and an understanding of various game genres.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate software applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with various mobile gaming platforms (iOS, Android).
- Experience playing a wide range of mobile games.
- Prior experience using bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of game development cycles and methodologies.
