Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a 100% remote position, open to international applicants who possess a strong background in cloud security architecture, implementation, and operations. As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure, applications, and data against evolving cyber threats. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across our multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles, an ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls within MTN's cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines.
- Monitor cloud security alerts and events, performing incident response and forensics as needed.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and architecture teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline and cloud-native solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies, recommending proactive security enhancements.
- Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security best practices and secure coding principles.
- Manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions for cloud platforms, ensuring least privilege principles.
- Participate in security architecture reviews for new cloud deployments and initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with cloud security platforms (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Google Cloud Security Command Center).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking security concepts (VPC, NSGs, Security Groups, firewalls).
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) in a cloud context.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and cloud logging solutions.
- Knowledge of industry security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or SANS GIAC.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) for security automation.
- Experience in a large-scale, international enterprise environment.
