Are you a passionate EA Sports enthusiast who lives for the weekend game? GameStop is seeking an energetic and knowledgeable ‘EA Sports Weekend Warrior’ to champion our EA Sports titles every Saturday and Sunday at our Southlands location. This unique role is perfect for individuals who love to engage with fellow gamers, demonstrate the latest EA Sports features, and create an exciting, community-focused atmosphere in-store. You’ll be the go-to expert for Madden NFL, FIFA, NHL, and more, helping customers discover new ways to play and enhancing their gaming journey. If you thrive on the energy of weekend gaming and love to share your passion, we want you on our team – complete with premium weekend pay!
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the in-store expert for all major EA Sports titles (Madden NFL, FIFA, NHL, F1, etc.) on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Engage with customers, demonstrating game features, controls, and new releases.
- Organize and facilitate casual in-store gaming sessions, mini-tournaments, or challenges to create an interactive experience.
- Provide personalized recommendations and tips to customers based on their gaming preferences.
- Maintain an inviting and organized gaming demo station, ensuring all equipment is functional.
- Promote upcoming EA Sports releases, special editions, and GameStop exclusive offers.
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with the store management team to improve the gaming experience.
- Assist with general store duties as needed, including stocking, merchandising, and customer service.
Required Skills
- Deep passion and knowledge of EA Sports titles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable availability for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or customer service, especially in a gaming-related environment.
- Experience with live streaming or content creation related to gaming.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, PC).
- A track record of participation in local or online gaming communities/tournaments.
