Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Associate with a passion for the startup fintech ecosystem to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a rapidly growing company, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and innovative industry. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular updates to management.
- Assist with external audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a financial analyst, associate, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data visualization).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a startup or fintech company.
- Familiarity with financial modeling and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards in the fintech industry.
- CPA or CFA candidate.
