Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and eager to build a career in a fast-paced, critical field. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and contributing to the overall security posture of Concentrix’s global infrastructure. This 100% remote role requires a strong analytical mind, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for alerts and anomalies.
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents to determine scope and impact.
- Execute incident response procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams to resolve complex security issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge of common security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Prior experience in a SOC environment or IT help desk role.
