Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Screen Wash Refill Aide to join our professional fleet care team in Newbury Park. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring our fleet vehicles are always prepared and safe for operation. As a Screen Wash Refill Aide, you will be responsible for the regular inspection and replenishment of screen wash and other essential fluids, contributing directly to the efficiency and reliability of our extensive vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily checks and accurately refill screen wash fluid levels in a variety of fleet vehicles.
- Monitor and top off other basic vehicle fluids such as coolant, oil, and brake fluid as directed by maintenance protocols.
- Assist in managing the inventory of vehicle fluids and related supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized fluid storage and work area.
- Promptly report any observed vehicle anomalies, fluid leaks, or maintenance concerns to the senior maintenance staff.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide general support to the fleet maintenance team as needed, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner while moving them within the yard for service.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and meticulously follow verbal and written instructions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or a strong willingness to learn about vehicle components and fluid systems.
- Capable of performing physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and regularly lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, automotive service center, or fleet maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with different types of commercial fleet vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, tractors).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
