Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Senior Companion Chauffeur with a strong focus on wellness and medical support to join our dedicated team in Baltimore. This critical role involves providing safe, reliable transportation and personalized companionship to our senior and medically-focused clients, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and timely access to medical appointments, social engagements, and personal errands. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional driving skills, a profound understanding of client needs, a proactive approach to wellness support, and the discretion required for working with a high-end clientele. This is more than a driving job; it’s about building trusting relationships and providing a seamless, supportive experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and punctually transport clients to medical appointments, therapies, social events, and personal errands.
  • Provide attentive and empathetic companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities as appropriate.
  • Assist clients with mobility, including ingress and egress from vehicles and assistance with walkers/wheelchairs as needed.
  • Maintain a pristine and comfortable vehicle environment, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, prioritizing client safety above all else.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and provide discreet, personalized support.
  • Document transport details, client observations, and incidents accurately and confidentially.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and care coordinators regarding schedules and needs.
  • Assist with light personal care or wellness-related tasks as directed and within scope, e.g., reminding for medication, ensuring hydration.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism, and discretion at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with an impeccable driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years (60 months) of professional chauffeuring or high-end personal transport experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in companion care, elder care, or medical transport.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Profound sense of empathy, patience, and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems.
  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility (e.g., lifting up to 25 lbs, assisting with transfers).
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced defensive driving certification.
  • Experience with clients requiring specialized medical attention or mobility assistance.
  • Knowledge of local Baltimore area routes and traffic patterns.
  • Background in healthcare support or a related field.
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local community.
