Job Description
Are you passionate about understanding customer sentiment and its impact on e-commerce sales? Amazon is seeking a highly motivated E-commerce Sentiment Analyst with a remote sales focus to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for analyzing vast datasets of customer feedback, reviews, and social media mentions to identify key sentiment trends, product perceptions, and opportunities for sales growth. You will leverage advanced analytics tools and natural language processing (NLP) techniques to provide actionable insights that directly inform our sales strategies and product development. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and impactful recommendations for our sales and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze unstructured customer feedback data from various e-commerce platforms, product reviews, social media, and customer service interactions.
- Develop and apply sentiment analysis models using NLP techniques to categorize and quantify customer emotions and opinions regarding products and services.
- Identify emerging trends, pain points, and opportunities for product improvements or sales interventions based on sentiment data.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards visualizing sentiment trends, customer satisfaction scores, and their correlation with sales performance.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to sales, marketing, and product development teams to drive informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to refine sentiment analysis tools and improve data collection methodologies.
- Monitor competitor sentiment and market trends to provide competitive intelligence and identify best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data analytics capabilities and customer understanding framework.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python with Pandas/Numpy, R, SQL) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts and experience with text mining and sentiment analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with large, unstructured datasets.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Marketing, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) for text classification or sentiment modeling.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and their application in e-commerce.
- Previous experience supporting sales or marketing teams with data-driven insights.
