Job Description
Are you looking for an entry-level driving position without the need for prior experience or a special license? In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to our valued customers using a company-provided van or small truck. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided van or small truck to deliver packages on assigned routes.
- Load and unload packages accurately and efficiently.
- Follow strict safety standards and traffic laws at all times.
- Use handheld devices for route navigation, package scanning, and delivery confirmations.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously when required.
- Meet delivery quotas and timeframes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license (standard Class C or equivalent required for passenger vehicles/light trucks in Texas).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to get in and out of a van multiple times a day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable driving in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Grand Prairie and surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
