Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Limo Compliance Officer with a strong focus on safety and logs management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all company operations, vehicles, and drivers adhere strictly to local, state, and federal transportation regulations, particularly those pertaining to safety standards, vehicle maintenance records, and driver hours of service logs. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of operational integrity and preventing non-compliance issues. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs to foster a culture of safety and regulatory adherence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in alignment with DOT, FMCSA, and local transportation regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of driver logs, vehicle maintenance records, and operational practices to identify and address potential compliance gaps.
  • Oversee the proper documentation and reporting of safety incidents, accidents, and violations.
  • Provide training and guidance to drivers and staff on safety protocols, regulatory changes, and best practices for logbook management.
  • Stay current with all relevant transportation laws and regulations, proactively informing management of any updates or changes.
  • Manage vehicle inspection schedules and ensure all vehicles meet safety and maintenance requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies during inspections or audits.
  • Prepare and submit necessary compliance reports to internal management and external regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues or complaints.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and state-specific transportation regulations, especially regarding driver hours of service (HOS) and vehicle safety.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills for data review and auditing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for training, reporting, and inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and utilizing compliance management software.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound, ethical decisions.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification.
  • Experience specifically within the limousine or luxury transportation sector.
  • Familiarity with telematics and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
