Job Description
We are seeking an organized and efficient Sports Gear Tagger with a Smart Working Retail focus to join our team in New Port Richey. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring all incoming merchandise is accurately tagged, priced, and prepared for the sales floor. You will play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy and contributing to an organized and efficient retail environment, directly impacting customer satisfaction and sales. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, physical dexterity, and a proactive approach to streamlining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming sports gear and merchandise.
- Accurately apply price tags, security tags, and labels according to company guidelines.
- Organize and sort merchandise for efficient placement on the sales floor or in storage.
- Maintain a clean and organized tagging station and receiving area.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective items to management.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Collaborate with sales associates and inventory teams to ensure product readiness.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 40 lbs), and bend for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with various types of sports equipment and apparel
