Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional AI Technical Writer to join our dynamic team in Torrance, CA. This is a high-impact role focused on creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our advanced artificial intelligence products and services. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex AI technologies and a diverse audience of developers, engineers, and end-users. Your work will directly support the adoption, understanding, and successful implementation of our AI solutions, ensuring that our users have the resources they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including API guides, SDK documentation, user manuals, tutorials, and release notes for AI/ML platforms and services.
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, software engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather information, understand product functionality, and define documentation requirements.
- Translate complex technical concepts and AI algorithms into easy-to-understand content for various audiences.
- Establish and enforce documentation standards, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all written materials.
- Design and develop innovative documentation solutions that improve user experience and enable self-service support.
- Manage documentation lifecycle from initial planning to publication and ongoing maintenance, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and evolution of our overall documentation strategy.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams regarding documentation best practices and content creation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, with a significant portion focused on AI/ML, cloud platforms, or complex software systems.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate documentation for highly technical products.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, terminology, and workflows (e.g., machine learning models, neural networks, data science pipelines).
- Experience with API documentation tools and methodologies (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger, Markdown, ReStructuredText).
- Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with specific AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) or cloud AI services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform).
