Job Description

As a Battlefield Alpha Tester, you will be on the front lines of game development, playing unreleased versions of our highly anticipated Battlefield titles. Your critical eye and comprehensive feedback will be instrumental in identifying bugs, gameplay issues, and potential improvements, ensuring the highest quality for our next generation of games. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and identify software defects, glitches, and inconsistencies.
  • Provide detailed, clear, and concise bug reports using internal tracking software.
  • Actively participate in gameplay sessions, offering constructive feedback on game mechanics, balance, and overall user experience.
  • Verify bug fixes and regressions to ensure issues are resolved effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, designers, and other testers.
  • Document test procedures and results accurately.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding unreleased content.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to spot subtle issues.
  • Deep understanding of first-person shooter (FPS) mechanics and competitive gaming.
  • Proficiency in identifying, reproducing, and documenting software bugs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for video games and a strong desire to improve player experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in quality assurance (QA) or game testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, console).
  • Knowledge of game development pipelines.
  • Prior experience playing Battlefield titles or similar large-scale multiplayer games.
