Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively and successfully complete all phases of the paid academy training program.
- Assist CBP Officers in conducting inspections of persons, conveyances, and merchandise arriving in or departing from the United States.
- Support the processing of travelers and cargo, ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations.
- Perform administrative tasks and data entry related to inspections and enforcement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of findings and actions.
- Learn and apply federal laws, regulations, and CBP policies and procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to the public while maintaining security protocols.
- Operate various equipment and technology used in border security operations.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including a polygraph examination and drug test.
- Willingness to undergo and successfully complete extensive paid academy training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and observational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of law enforcement duties, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
- Prior military or law enforcement experience (e.g., security guard, military police, corrections officer).
- Proficiency in a foreign language (especially Spanish, Mandarin, or Arabic).
