Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Junior Petroleum Records Clerk to join our team. This is a 100% remote work-from-home position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a leading energy company from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive records related to petroleum exploration, production, and distribution, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. You will play a crucial role in supporting our operational efficiency by ensuring that all documentation is properly filed, updated, and retrievable.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain physical and digital records related to petroleum assets, operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Accurately input data into record-keeping systems and databases.
- Process and file incoming documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist in retrieving records for audits, reports, and internal requests.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all sensitive information.
- Perform regular quality checks on existing records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support senior clerks and other departments with administrative tasks as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding record management.
- Assist in the digitization of historical documents.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders regarding record status and requests.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Basic understanding of data entry and record-keeping principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration, office management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with database management systems or electronic document management (EDM) software.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a technical or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of basic oil and gas industry terminology.
