Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and dedicated Concierge to join our distinguished team at The Aberdeen Grand Hotel. As a Concierge, you will be the cornerstone of our guest experience, providing expert local knowledge, anticipatory service, and personalized recommendations to ensure every guest’s stay is seamless and extraordinary. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who embodies the spirit of luxury hospitality, with a strong preference for candidates holding Clefs d’Or certification. Sponsorship is available for the right international candidate who can bring world-class service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive concierge services, including dining reservations, transportation arrangements, tour bookings, and activity recommendations.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, events, and services in Aberdeen and the surrounding South Dakota region.
- Cultivate strong relationships with local vendors and service providers to ensure premium guest access and experiences.
- Handle all guest inquiries and requests with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency.
- Assist with package and mail handling, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to guests.
- Collaborate closely with other hotel departments to ensure a cohesive and luxurious guest experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of service and confidentiality, reflecting the Four Seasons brand.
- Act as an ambassador for the hotel and the local community.
- Manage and resolve guest complaints or issues with grace and diplomacy.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel concierge role.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Profound knowledge of Aberdeen, SD, and surrounding areas (restaurants, attractions, services).
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
- Must be eligible for work sponsorship (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Clefs d'Or certification (Les Clefs d'Or) is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Experience working in an international luxury hotel environment.
