Job Description
Are you a plant enthusiast with a green thumb and a passion for nurturing nature? Wag! is seeking reliable and compassionate Vacation Plant Sitters to join our local neighborhood service in Southlands, Aurora, CO. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently, have flexible schedules, and love ensuring plants thrive even when their owners are away. As a Plant Sitter, you will be responsible for visiting clients’ homes to water, mist, fertilize, and care for a variety of indoor and outdoor plants, ensuring they remain healthy and vibrant. This role is perfect for those looking for flexible, part-time work within their local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit client homes according to a pre-arranged schedule to provide plant care.
- Water indoor and outdoor plants as per specific client instructions and plant needs.
- Monitor plant health, checking for pests, diseases, or signs of distress.
- Provide appropriate light adjustments, misting, and fertilizing as required.
- Clean up any spills or debris related to plant care.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on plant status.
- Follow all client instructions meticulously, including security protocols for home entry and exit.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the client's home.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with plant care, including various species (indoor and outdoor).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations within Southlands, Aurora.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of common plant diseases and pests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a home service or caretaking role.
- Formal training or certifications in horticulture or plant science.
- Familiarity with the Southlands, Aurora area.
