Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Weekend Room Service Attendant to join our esteemed team at Loews Kansas City Hotel. This part-time role is essential for delivering our 5-star dining experience directly to our guests’ rooms during peak weekend hours. You will be responsible for taking orders, accurately preparing and delivering meals and beverages, and ensuring each guest interaction reflects our high standards of luxury and hospitality. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process room service orders, including taking orders over the phone and inputting them into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Set up tables, trays, and meal service according to 5-star hotel standards.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Collect payment for orders and process transactions accurately.
- Clear used dishes, glassware, and serving equipment from guest rooms and hallways.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service pantry and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, guest services, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory and restocking of room service supplies as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Availability to work weekend shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and holidays).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably in a hotel or fine dining setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
