Job Description
The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously checking every product at various stages of production to ensure it meets our rigorous quality standards and specifications. You will play a vital part in upholding the reputation of our luxury beauty brands by preventing defects and ensuring only perfect products reach our customers. This position requires an eagle eye, a commitment to precision, and a passion for quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and physical inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished beauty products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Utilize measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges) and analytical techniques to verify product dimensions, weights, and other critical attributes.
- Identify and document any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from quality standards, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, inspection logs, and reports.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and other departments to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company quality policies.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality problems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate and maintain inspection equipment responsibly.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Strong observational skills and ability to identify subtle imperfections.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO quality standards.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools and methodologies.
