Job Description

Join a warm and welcoming family in Brooklyn as their Weekend Live-in Au Pair, offering flexible support designed to accommodate an international student’s schedule. This part-time role provides a unique opportunity to experience American culture while gaining valuable childcare experience. You will be an integral part of the family, providing care for two children (ages 6 and 9) during weekends, and enjoying the benefits of living rent-free in a private room with board. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging and safe childcare for two children (ages 6 and 9) during weekend hours.
  • Organize and supervise age-appropriate activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor excursions.
  • Prepare light meals and snacks for the children.
  • Assist with children's bedtime routines on weekends.
  • Maintain tidiness of children's play areas and bedrooms.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's activities and well-being.
  • Support children's learning and development through interactive play.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in childcare or babysitting.
  • Ability to commit to weekend live-in hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
  • Valid visa status allowing for part-time work and live-in arrangements in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience with children in the specified age range (6-9 years).
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Driver's license (not mandatory, but advantageous).
  • Currently enrolled as an international student (or recently graduated with valid work authorization).
