Job Description
Join a warm and welcoming family in Brooklyn as their Weekend Live-in Au Pair, offering flexible support designed to accommodate an international student’s schedule. This part-time role provides a unique opportunity to experience American culture while gaining valuable childcare experience. You will be an integral part of the family, providing care for two children (ages 6 and 9) during weekends, and enjoying the benefits of living rent-free in a private room with board. Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and safe childcare for two children (ages 6 and 9) during weekend hours.
- Organize and supervise age-appropriate activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor excursions.
- Prepare light meals and snacks for the children.
- Assist with children's bedtime routines on weekends.
- Maintain tidiness of children's play areas and bedrooms.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's activities and well-being.
- Support children's learning and development through interactive play.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or babysitting.
- Ability to commit to weekend live-in hours.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
- Valid visa status allowing for part-time work and live-in arrangements in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with children in the specified age range (6-9 years).
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Driver's license (not mandatory, but advantageous).
- Currently enrolled as an international student (or recently graduated with valid work authorization).
