Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Monitor and observe patient behavior, reporting any significant changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Facilitate and participate in therapeutic activities, group sessions, and recreational programs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a sense of hope and progress.
- Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
- Document patient observations and interventions accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies with professionalism and calm.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong empathy and compassion for individuals facing mental health challenges
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or mental health setting
- Knowledge of basic mental health terminology and common conditions
- CPR and First Aid certification
