Job Description

LabCorp is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Prep Aide to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – we provide all necessary training! You will play a crucial role in ensuring samples are correctly prepared for analysis, directly supporting our laboratory operations and ultimately impacting patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accession laboratory specimens, ensuring proper identification and labeling.
- Prepare samples for various laboratory tests according to established protocols.
- Perform data entry of patient and specimen information with accuracy.
- Organize and store specimens for future testing or archiving.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous waste safely.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Assist laboratory technologists and technicians with general lab duties as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to supervisors.
