Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care under the supervision of experienced Registered Nurses and preceptors.
- Participate actively in all aspects of the structured residency curriculum, including classroom education, simulations, and clinical rotations.
- Accurately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient observations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all AdventHealth policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Seek and incorporate feedback from preceptors and mentors to continuously improve clinical practice and professional development.
Required Skills
- Current or eligible for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida by start date.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Prior healthcare experience (e.g., Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, volunteer).
- Academic excellence (e.g., GPA of 3.0 or higher).
