Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Pharmaceutical Warehouse Hand to join our distribution team in Oakhurst, Decatur, Georgia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, with a strong emphasis on maintaining strict temperature control standards. Your work ensures that vital medications reach healthcare providers and patients safely and effectively. This is an on-site position requiring physical stamina and attention to detail within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming pharmaceutical shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
- Store pharmaceutical products in designated temperature-controlled environments (refrigerated, frozen, or ambient) according to strict guidelines.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring product integrity and temperature control are maintained throughout the process.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided if needed), safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and record temperature readings of storage areas and products as required, reporting any deviations immediately.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company policies and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, DEA).
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pharmaceutical handling and cold chain management.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly with temperature-controlled goods.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) or other pharmaceutical handling regulations.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
