Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Team Drivers to join FedEx Custom Critical as High-Value Electronics Haulers. In this critical role, you and your driving partner will be responsible for the secure, timely, and damage-free transportation of sensitive and high-value electronic equipment across designated routes. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, adherence to strict security protocols, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. As a team, you will ensure continuous movement of freight, maximizing efficiency while prioritizing the integrity of our customers’ valuable assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles as part of a two-person team to transport high-value electronics.
  • Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and complete all necessary paperwork for shipments.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and cargo to ensure safety and security.
  • Implement advanced security measures to protect high-value cargo from theft or damage.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding shipment status and potential issues.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet tight delivery schedules and deadlines.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of electronic equipment.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum 2 years (24 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to drive as part of a team for extended periods.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to security and cargo protection.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate pallet jacks if needed.
  • Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and navigation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience hauling high-value or sensitive cargo.
  • Hazmat endorsement.
  • Twin trailer endorsement.
  • Previous experience working in a team driving environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
