Job Description
Join IBM as an AI Product Design Intern with a strong focus on UX/UI mentorship. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and AI researchers, contributing to the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence products. You will gain hands-on experience in the entire product design lifecycle, from user research and ideation to prototyping and testing, specifically within the context of AI-driven applications. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights for AI product features.
- Assist in translating user needs and business requirements into intuitive and engaging user interface designs for AI applications.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and AI specialists to ensure design feasibility and implementation.
- Contribute to design system development and maintain design consistency across various AI product touchpoints.
- Present design concepts and solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in AI, UX/UI design, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of UX/UI design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- A portfolio demonstrating personal design projects or academic work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Basic familiarity with AI concepts or a strong interest in artificial intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience with user research techniques.
- Understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience with design thinking workshops or agile development processes.
