Job Description
As an Apple Global Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role within our finance sector, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across various international regions. This is a vital position that requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll principles, and the ability to navigate complex global regulations. You will contribute to a seamless payroll experience for our diverse workforce, supporting Apple’s commitment to its employees. This position offers flexible work-from-home options and is 100% remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Process multi-state and international payrolls accurately and on schedule.
- Verify payroll data, including hours worked, leave, deductions, and new hires.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international payroll laws and regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities related to payroll.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams to ensure data integrity.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP).
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent data entry and 10-key skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
- Experience with global payroll processing and international tax regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Experience working in a large, multinational corporation.
