Job Description
Are you looking for a fun, energetic part-time role where you can learn valuable kitchen skills and be part of a vibrant team? &pizza is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Weekend Pizza Prep in our bustling Adams Morgan location. No prior experience is necessary – we offer comprehensive on-the-job training to help you master the art of crafting our unique pizzas. This is a perfect opportunity for students, weekend warriors, or anyone looking to pick up new skills and earn extra income in a supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling pizzas, and ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly during our busiest hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and fresh ingredients according to &pizza's high standards.
- Assemble custom pizzas quickly and accurately, following customer orders and recipes.
- Operate pizza ovens safely and efficiently, ensuring perfect bake quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Provide friendly and efficient service, contributing to a positive customer experience.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service setting is a plus, but not required.
- Current Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).
