Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Controller to join our dynamic team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Supply Chain Controller will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all financial aspects of our supply chain operations, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with company goals. This role requires a strong understanding of both financial principles and supply chain processes, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and supporting robust decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and reporting for all supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Analyze supply chain costs, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare detailed financial forecasts and budgets for supply chain operations, monitoring performance against these targets.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing, inventory valuation, and adherence to financial policies.
  • Manage inventory valuation, obsolescence reserves, and ensure proper accounting treatment for supply chain transactions.
  • Provide financial insights and support for strategic supply chain projects, supplier negotiations, and new product introductions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a supply chain context.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
