Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first job or a way to gain valuable work experience while earning good money? Chili’s Grill & Bar in Akron, OH is seeking enthusiastic and reliable High School Service Associates to join our team! This part-time position offers flexible hours to accommodate your school schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the exciting opportunity to earn additional income through tips. You’ll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience for our guests, learning essential customer service and teamwork skills along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly and assisting with seating arrangements.
- Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely manner.
- Ensuring guest satisfaction by checking in frequently and addressing any needs.
- Clearing and resetting tables according to Chili's standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation and dishwashing as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized dining area and workstation.
- Collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or a restaurant setting is a plus, but not required.
