Job Description

As a Warehouse Support Staff member at Amazon in Chattanooga, TN, you will play a crucial role in our fulfillment operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operate essential material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, after receiving proper training.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret basic instructions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer navigation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks) is a plus (certification not required for initial hiring).
